Proposed improvements are to provide a HEALTHY, SAFE, and SECURE LEARNING Environment for

ALL of the Children of the Parsons District Schools Community.

High School  -  Built in 1954

  • Asbestos Removal
  • Replace roof
  • Plumbing upgrades
  • Electrical upgrades
  • Flooring replacement
  • On-campus parking – additional 160 spaces
  • Classroom additions and removal of Annex
  • Renovation of current classrooms to enlarge them
  • Addition of a student library and research center
  • Renovation all spaces in main building
  • Cafeteria expanded to meet increase demands
  • Renovation of current print shop with digital upgrade
  • Addition of a 300 seat performance auditorium and instrument storage areas
  • Community room with concession area
  • Renovate track
  • New auxiliary gym with locker rooms
  • Additional flexible multi-purpose classrooms and Community Tornado Shelter

Garfield  - Built in 1954

  • Open the office to the main entrances
  • The addition of a new Media Center that will serve as a Community Tornado Shelter
  • Addition of some small group rooms
  • Replace Roof
  • Remove Asbestos Tile
  • Extensive renovation of the plumbing and remodeling of restrooms
  • Removal of the current boiler and rework the space

Guthridge – Built in 1962, addition 1971

  • Relocate the office area at the entrance to the building
  • Addition of two classrooms
  • Replace roof
  • Replace flooring as needed
  • Expanded Media Center
  • Addition of small group instruction rooms
  • Add much needed electrical upgrades

Lincoln  -  Built in 1971

  • New construction will also serve as a Community Tornado Shelter Area
  • Replace roof
  • Replace flooring as needed
  • Addition of new classrooms and small group rooms
  • Open the office to the main entrance of the building.
  • Expand office area to include Nurse’s space and conference room
