Following high school,
Harry Coker, Jr. graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a
bachelor's degree in resource management. He then attended the
Naval Postgraduate School, graduating in 1987 with a master's degree in
computer science. He then graduated from Georgetown University's
Law Center in 1992 with his juris doctor degree.
Harry Coker, Jr. began his Navy service as a surface warfare officer
and completed his career as an engineering duty officer. The last
13 years of his naval career were spent in Washington, D.C., in program
management assignments, including working for the Defense
Communications Engineering Center, the Navy Space Systems Division,
Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Program Executive Office for
Space, Communications and Sensors, the Navy Extremely High Frequency
Satellite Communications Program, the National Security Space Architect
and the National Reconnaissance Office. He retired as a commander
in November, 2000.
He began his CIA career in December 2000, following the completion of
20 years of active duty in the U.S. Navy. A member of the Senior
Intelligence Service since 2005, Coker is serving in the CIA's
Directorate of Science and Technology.
Harry Coker, Jr. is currently residing in Washington, D.C.
